The Senior Consultant will be responsible for various facets of engagements, including assisting with strategic direction; coordinating with other team members along with client staff and leadership; and day-to-day implementation of services.


  • Provide daily leadership of consulting engagements from kickoff through final presentation of deliverables. This typically includes meetings with the client’s staff, board members, donors, prospects and volunteers; data gathering and analysis; and the development and presentation of high-impact strategic recommendations
  • As a primary point of contact with clients, the consultant must be capable of establishing a trusted advisor relationship by putting the client first; exhibiting excellent communications and listening skills; and providing leadership, guidance and expertise.
  • Mostly local travel required to client sites and services areas; must be willing to travel overnight occasionally if required
  • Must be flexible to accommodate client needs for periodic meetings and events outside regular business hours (evenings or weekends)


  • Minimum of five years’ relevant experience
  • Outstanding written, verbal and listening skills
  • Proficiency in prospect research and nonprofit database/CRM use (Raiser’s Edge experience a plus)
  • Detail-oriented with intuition and capacity to anticipate and capitalize on short and long-term opportunities and client needs
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaborative relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Computer literacy and advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong skills across various social media platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree required



The Senior Executive Consultant will report to the President and will be responsible for structuring and managing client projects while also assisting in hands-on implementation; helping drive business development; and supporting all members of the team in achieving extraordinary success.


  • Lead engagements from kickoff through final presentation of deliverables
  • Offer support for new business development and client renewals as requested, and assist in the development of service proposals
  • Provide customized strategic and tactical direction based on experience, data and appropriateness to client culture


  • Minimum of ten years’ experience in fundraising and/or nonprofit executive management with expertise in major gifts/campaign management
  • Demonstrable track record of success and staying power in prior employment
  • Consulting experience or possesses qualities of an effective consultant
  • Creativity, energy and the ability to focus in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, listening and presentation skills; the ability to devise, refine and articulate key messages in a concise and compelling manner
  • Leadership presence in individual and group settings; confidence to present alternatives and perspective, engage others, and influence outcomes while positioning the client as “the star”
  • Supervisory skills for direct and cross-functional team management; ability to lead, coach, train and motivate staff and volunteers
  • Highest degree of ethics and integrity
  • Computer literacy and advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong skills across various social media platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree required
